Paula Thomas, designer of Thomas Wylde was born in Birmingham but currently resides in Los Angeles. She named the brand after her grandfather Robert Thomas, and her great-grandmother Catherine Wylde. Before launching her brand, she had extensive knowlege of the fashion industry working under Welsh designer Julien Macdonald. She was also a runway model for Alexander Mcqueen's first collection.
